When this year is coming to an end, I think all of us have become a little more accepting, a little more open-minded and a little more real. Otherwise, how can one possibly explain the kind of love Wednesday received? We enjoyed watching a young girl who can be traditionally described as aloof, outspoken, stubborn and, most of the time, extremely rude. But the most important fact is that we not only enjoyed watching her, but we also loved her. Well, in this age and year, Wednesday may seem to be a bit more relatable than all the cute, beautiful and flowery characters. Actually, Wednesday does show us how to survive in today’s harsh world to the tee. Well, why don’t we explore some valuable lessons every individual, especially a direct selling representative, can imbibe from the series Wednesday?

Don’t lose your individuality

In a world where all of us are chasing one thing or another, the only factor that makes you unique and interesting is your individuality. Yes, it can be extremely difficult to survive in this world with individuality. But what more can we expect from a world that aspires to make all of its inhabitants an employee or a consumer? But trust me on this. If you want to try something new in life, if you want to rise to success and if you want to live your life to the fullest, then resist the world’s attempts to make you fit in just like Wednesday.

Wednesday refused to fit into any of the categories laid out to her by the society around her. She not only ceased from acting normal to get accepted in a school of normies. She also ceased acting weird, friendly and not normal enough in a school like Nevermore. This shows the kind of affirmation and value she has in her personality. So, once you value yourself and treat yourself with respect, as in the series, people around you will follow your lead. As a result, if you want to be a successful direct sales representative, be unique, be different and be someone real. This is because your personality will act as an extension of your products when it comes to a marketing model like direct selling.

Be focused on your goals: The way to success for direct a sales representative

This is a very important life lesson not only direct selling representatives, but every single individual should imbibe a practice in their own life. Do you know why? Because this is the secret to success. We often consider hard work to be the root of success. But haven’t you seen hardworking people failing to achieve their end goal? This can often be because they invested too much of their time in the process to achieve their end goal and lost sight of it. You will not reach anywhere if you continue to mindlessly toil in your life without a proper sense of direction.

Hence, be like Wednesday. Have a proper plan and take effective steps to execute it. At the beginning of the series, one can see that Wednesday longed to be a writer. Even when the publishers she presented her manuscript refused to go through with it because her writing was scary and grotesque, she didn’t give up on her goal. Moreover, even when the hell was unravelling around her, even when she became accused of murder and even when the first boy she kissed was discovered to be a monster, she didn’t lose her direction.

Furthermore, one can see that, even when Enid left her and Eugene got hospitalized, Wednesday still didn’t abandon her writing time, and by the end of the series, she managed to finish her first book. If every direct selling representative managed to make such a commitment, dedication and focus in their own business, then they are bound to succeed.

Stick to your tribe: An important tip for a direct selling representative

Last but not least, this is the best lesson every individual, including a direct selling representative, can practice in their life. Even when the whole world turns against you, a few people will refuse to leave your side. It doesn’t matter whether you did something or gave something to them. It is not a transaction but an affection. Those people who stick with you through thick and thin are your tribe. Don’t lose them, and stick with them. As Wednesday showed us having people who trust and understand you can help you to survive even the most difficult times.

Even when the whole world turns against you, the silent support and the comfort zone; these people extend will not only help you but also uplift you. So, as a direct selling representative, you don’t have to worry when you face rejections. Stick with your tribe. They will be there to help you out, no matter how bad the situation can be.
