What Can a Direct Selling Agent Learn From the Lion King?

Knowledge and information can be found in the most unexpected places. At times one may gain more insights from a random piece from an old newspaper than from a brand-new encyclopedia. It is impossible to determine from where actual knowledge can enlighten us. So, no matter where you are, whom you are talking to and what you are watching, make sure that you are maintaining an open mindset. Who knows, a four-year-old’s gibberish can make your life’s turning point. Similarly, children’s literature like The lion king can potentially give insight into you. Are you wondering what could a movie produced by Disney, based on a children’s story, will have to say to direct selling agents? Let’s see.

The insights a direct selling agent can derive from The lion king

You don’t have to be brave to be courageous

The terms brave and courage are often used interchangeably. But, these terms denote entirely two different ideas or carry two meanings. While bravery denotes an individual who doesn’t fear anything, courage highlights their willingness to go through or do something, even when they are extremely afraid and fearful. Often, we’ll wait to be brave to experiment on the thrills of life. But we often forget that one has to be courageous to face the world’s challenges. Do you know why?

We can witness this at the film’s beginning when Mufasa, King of Pride Rock, confesses to his son that he is terrified of losing him. Through this scene, Mufasa establishes that acknowledging one’s fears is not a sign of weakness but of courage. The key is to face your fears and not allow them to stop you from carrying out your responsibilities.

Donna Imson-Lecaroz once said that her fears were the only thing that drove her success. As she feared intensely that she wouldn’t be able to support her family, she pumped everything she had into direct selling. This intense, crippling fear of not being enough and not having enough to provide a comfortable life for her family is the sole reason behind her immense success.

Own up to your own mistakes and failures

In the movie, Scar teaches much about what a team player should never be. Scar personifies all the qualities an individual shouldn’t possess when working as part of a team. Scar didn’t end up dead because Simba cast him away. His failure and, thereby, death were manifested from the moment when he refused to own up to his own mistakes. Throughout the story, one can see Scar continuously blaming his teammates, the hyenas, for his own failures.

His actions ultimately contributed towards the hyenas turning against him and, thereby, his death. So, remember, sabotaging each other will not lead a team to success. Instead, one will have to cultivate a healthy competitive spirit within the team and encourage one another to achieve greater heights.

Taking a short break from your problems can be beneficial at times

One of The Lion King’s many lessons is the importance of taking a break when your problems become too intense. When Simba was thrown headfirst into the eye of the storm, he ran away from home and decided to leave his problems behind. But, because of that decision, because he decided to step back, he got an opportunity to meet Timon and Pumbaa.

If he hadn’t decided to step back then, she might not have learned to relax. More than everything else, Simba got a chance to grow up far away from the problems that afflicted Pride Rock. This allowed him to forgive himself and become a better lion eventually.

Yes, direct selling doesn’t have murderous uncles looming around to pounce upon you. But, on the path to becoming a successful direct selling agent, you may face multiple obstacles. Those obstacles, at the moment, can appear to be daunting and impossible to you. When you feel cornered or lost as a direct selling agent, take a step back and breathe.

In most of those situations, the solution to your problem will be there right in front of you. But, as you will be super stressed or tensed, you may look over it. So, take adequate time to relax and evaluate the picture before you. This will help you to look at the bigger picture.

To Conclude

You can imbibe these points from the movie The Lion King as a direct selling agent. Being a direct selling agent is a challenging task. You must be courageous like Simba and face multiple trials and challenges like him. But always remember that at the end of the road, brilliant success will always be waiting for you.
