Networking or network marketing or direct selling is a business that is affordable for students and exciting to do. It also has helped many students change their personalities and help them grow into a new, better human beings.
I started networking when I was in college. Honestly, it was a tad tough because I was a nursing student and I was struggling to get by. My parents were not in the financial state to support my education. I was devastated, realizing that I may have to quit school. That’s when I got to know about networking or direct selling. I put my faith and hard work in, and I was able to repay my education loan even before I graduated.

Flexible timing

When you are a student, it feels like a task to manage time. Making time for yourself becomes impossible. In such a chaotic schedule, if you manage your time well, you’ll know that 24 hours are actually more than enough. If you manage your day well you can do so much. When I started working as a QNET distributer, I learned to manage my studies and time to do my networking.
There were days where I had to prioritize my studies more than my work. The flexible timing provided by this business gave me the ability to focus better on everything. Now imagine, earning your pocket money, with the benefit of working at your own time and pace. Direct selling offers a lot of benefits for students who are willing to put extra effort and stand out of the crowd.

When you are in college, networking gets a little easier. In college, you can approach people who you think are with the same or similar mindset, you can approach your friends and their friends from different colleges. There are just so many potential prospects and you can always work with your friends and help them.

College fests

College fests are a great time and place to meet people from new colleges, making new contacts becomes much easier. Instead of hosting or attending parties for network, you get an opportunity to make new contacts without going on a limb and organizing a party. College fests are amazing, you get to see people from different departments of your college to people from different colleges. The world is your oyster during a college fest.

When I was in college, I was particularly excited because of all the people I would get to meet and how beneficial it would be for my business. I have made some inseparable friends during these fests. My college fest used to have inter college competition, which would mean that nearly half of the city would be in our college.

Self – confidence

Direct selling has helped me boost my self-confidence. I was really shy during my early childhood. I barely spoke, unless I was spoken to. I remember being horrified to be left alone in a room to talk to different people, definitely my worst nightmare. But as I started networking, I can see and feel the growth in my life. I know many college students who have changed their lifestyle with direct selling.

College is one of the best times for all of us. We make some lifelong friends and learn some amazing lessons. College life is one of the steppingstones to adult life for us.
