India’s direct selling industry, providing livelihood to about five million people, is reinventing itself to deal with the adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
It is trying to achieve a balance between human interactions, which is the bedrock of direct selling and online sales, to overcome the crisis. So trying to establish a set method of free flow of easy communication is very necessary.

Offline to Online transition

Due to Covid-19 and the following lockdown because of the latter. It has forced most of the direct selling businesses to move online. That way it is easier to track and has finally taken the leap that it always needed for it to enter the modern era. Human interactions are going to undergo a change, and with it, inter-personal activities are going to get reformed which will result in new developments in the functioning of direct selling. The direct selling industry, being so inextricably human networking based, can not only reinvent itself around this new imperative, but also, blaze a trail for others to follow, especially in the innovative use of technology and human interactions.

Change in needs and hence the pitching

We all know this as a fact that when we are pitching a product or our business, you need to take a minute and ask yourself few questions.

1. Will this product/opportunity benefit this person in anyway?
2. What are his needs, why will he be interested in you, your product or your business?
3. Is he someone who you share a similar mindset with, who can understand your business?

When you ask yourself these questions, you’ll know how to alter your pitch to connect to the person for their benefit. But It is different when you are face to face and when you’re over a text or a call or facetime. When you are with the person you can see if they are convinced or confused or needs some more convincing.

Over other means it get’s a little strenuous because, you need to cater to a lot of different factors, creating a professional environment and expecting the same from them. The Internet connections, the background noises, connectivity, capturing and keeping the attention hooked on you.

So we need to come up with a better solution for this, or a kick-ass pitch. Well, Share your ideas, no matter what.

Evolving into the Right Direct selling Attitude

Well lockdown has put most of us in a cocoon of comfort zone. It can be very dangerous for us. Our business is based on being out there on our toes and being prompt. So even during this lockdown we need to develop the right attitude for it to thrive. We need to remember that this is just a little phase and use this time to develop our skills for the betterment of our business.

Audit Your business

Taking an audit is simply taking stock of the status of your organisation. It is an evaluation of where you are right now, and using that information to decide what steps you need to take in order to reach your destination – which is to reach your maximum success. Don’t settle for anything less. The first step is to check yourself and see if you’re doing okay, if you’re switched on, and if you’re decided to do this no matter what.
