QNET is a direct selling company and has been facing some problems in India because of some people who do not clearly understand the right meaning of direct selling.
This case has been going on because of a guy named Gurupreet Singh Anand. Who claims that QNET has wronged him and his wife and hence he filed complaints. If you were to research in depth and read the actual story, you’d know that what he’s doing, trying to play the victim and ruin the good name of a company.
Nothing in his story and the reality seem to match even a bit and hence people who have sense will know who the culprit is and who is the victim here. There is news about his arrest on the ground of beating and torturing his own father. Imagine the lengths a man like him can go to, to bring down the good name of a company.
Court Orders
Despite all the hate going on, the hon’ble courts of Karnataka and Andra Pradesh and the Hon’ble Supreme court has been the epitome of delivering justice.
Vihaan and QNET has been very co-operative as I saw, when it came to dealing with police and everything else. They produced all the required documents and other papers that were asked for.
Hon’ble Court of Karnataka and Andra Pradesh
On February 25th of 2017, the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka has rejected all the criminal proceedings against QNET. Hon’ble Justice Anandbyra Reddy has categorically stated that “QNET is not a Ponzi scheme and the company does legitimate business” in his detailed order. And it also said that on 27th September 2018 the Honourable High Court of Karnataka quashed all the 22 cases registered by various police station of Bangalore against the distributors of QNET. Meaning that police have no authority to investigate the matter concerning the e-commerce business done by QNET.
The Hon’ble Court of Andra Pradesh issued an Interim Order which stated that the police were not to register any criminal cases against the distributors of QNET/Vihaan who are doing business. Vihaan is doing business as per Andhra Pradesh Direct Selling Guidelines issued by Ministry of Andhra Pradesh Consumer Affairs.
Supreme Court order
The Honourable Supreme Court had passed an order on March 27, 2017 to put a Stay on all further proceedings against Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Pvt Ltd, a sub-franchisee of QNET in India. It also granted bail to its then shareholders Michael Ferreira and Malckolm Desai.
All of these court orders have been said and done and some people are still defying the court orders and are facing the consequences. But for all those who are asking, is QNET Legal or is QNET still operative in India. The answer is a big fat YES! there
